        Most plants native to California and the western states are uniquely suited to our wet winters and dry summers. Some requir
e no summer water at all. This makes them ideal choices to conserve water and provide pollinators and birds with food, nesting material and breeding sites.

        The following plant list includes many of the plants grown in our wildlife habitat and backyard demonstration garden. Most require well-drained soil and full sun.
